Quietly nestled at the foot of Mt. McGwire, next to a spring fed lake; construction of this 2 bedroom, 2 story Mountain Retreat Chalet was just completed this year. Private and secluded yet with all the amenities of modern living. Kitchen and Dining Area The spacious kitchen is fully-equipped with fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, double sink, and all small appliances. The kitchen has a dinette table with 4 chairs, plus a window seat in the bay window. There is a large island with bar-sink and bar stools where friends seem to gather. The main dining area off the living room overlooks the lake and seats 6. This home is very well-equipped with supplies such as cooking utensils, paper towel, plastic wrap, foil, tea-lights, first aid, etc. Coffee and a variety of teas are complimentary. Freshly-picked fruit and vegetables from our organic greenhouse are supplied as a welcoming gift ( in season). The Great Room The main living area features a large Fireplace built of natural River Rock. The yew wood mantle was designed and built by Master Shipwright and Artist Bill Humphries, who also designed and built the home. High Ceilings, exposed Beams, Hand-milled wood trims, Sky-lights, and large Wood Windows enhance the Panoramic View. TV / DVD ( no cable or Satellite) An assortment of games , playing cards, and reading material is provided for your enjoyment. Bedrooms This home has 2 bedrooms with Queen-sized beds upstairs. There is also a hide-a-bed in an alcove near the fireplace in the livingroom. All quilts, shams, and mattress covers are laundered between guests. There is no down bedding - Our goal is to provide accommodation that is as allergy-free as possible. Bathrooms The main floor has a bathroom with tub and shower. Upstairs has a 2 piece bathroom. There is a 2 piece bathroom outdoors as a convenience to swimmers. Towels are provided. Shampoo, soap, hairdryer, curling iron,Iron and ironing board are supplied. Deck The large outdoor deck has a BBQ and dining area with table and chairs. There is a Sundance "Altimar" Hot tub/SPA for your indulgence. There is a ramp leading up to the deck. Stage Covered and closed-in on 3 sides, the stage provides shelter outside during the winter season. The view of the lake from this vantage point is spectacular! There is a table and chairs. Entertain your family or friends by acting out skits and plays. Acoustic instruments are welcome. (Please no amplified music) Noise curfew 10 pm Special Features Exclusively Private -the only home on the lake.   Quiet and peaceful - a perfect honeymoon or romantic getaway.   Well-maintained lawns - sunny or shady areas.   Large parking area.   Wildlife abounds - Resident Blue Heron, Eagles, Kingfishers, Deer, Rainbow Trout, Crayfish. Turkey Vultures gather in East Sooke Park for their annual migration. This is a Bird-watcher's delight!   Spring Water - Good for drinking.   Fresh organic vegetables are supplied as a welcoming gift ( in-season ).   Allergy-free - No down bedding ....
